My Life in Shuffleboard - Rose Matthews
I sold my house in Hemet in May of 1994,
I then purchased a mobile home in Devonshire Downs and moved
in on June 1994
I joined the shuffleboard team in October
94. Ihad never shuffled in mylife in fact is I was an avidbowler
for many years
The first season I did pretty good but after
my friend convinced me to try tournaments, well I didn't do well
at all.
Well 1999 was my WOW year. I went to town
and won 4 trophies and 1 bronze medal
1. District 7 Mixed team - 3rd place
2. Ladies singles - 1st place consoluation
3. Any singles - 1st place consoluation
4. Any singles - 3rd place consoluation
I was 80 years old when I started shuffling.
In 5 years I have won 9 trophies - 1 team event and 1 bronze
medal
and I am still shuffling
